Here are the top places to visit in Japan:
Tokyo

Tokyo is Japan’s most visited destination.
A bustling and vibrant city with nightlife and world-renowned cuisine. Many travelers visit to experience the modern technology, car scene, anime, and gaming culture. A place unlike any other, it is not only a must-visit location in Japan but also one of the most popular cities in the world.

- Visit Tokyo’s oldest temple, Senso-ji
- Explore Tokyo Skytree
- Cross the famous Shibuya Crossing
- Shop at Pokémon and Nintendo Stores

Fujikawaguchico

Fujikawaguchico is a beautiful, serene location in the mountainous region of Japan.
Home to one of the bases of Mount Fuji and beautiful scenery. Many travelers make this a day trip from Tokyo; however, we recommend spending a night or two to fully enjoy the peaceful town surrounded by the lake and relaxing atmosphere.

- Visit the famous Chureito Pagoda
- Hike Mount Fuji for sunrise
- Go to a hot spring
- Bike around Lake Kawaguchi
⇨ Note: We visited in September. However, the clearest visibly of Mount Fuji is between November and February.
Kyoto

Kyoto is one of Japan’s largest and most diverse cities.
Perfect for those looking to dive into the culture, food, and history. Known for its geisha district, famous shrines, and bamboo forests, it is another must-visit destination in Japan. It’s our favorite location and it serves as an excellent home base for many exciting day trips.

- Visit Hokan-ji
- Explore Gion Geisha District
- Shop at Nishiki Market
- Walk through Fushimi Inari Shrine’s torii gates
- Stroll through Arashiyama Bamboo Forest
- Wander around Nara Park to see the free-roaming deer
- Take a matcha tour in Uji

Osaka

Osaka is a vibrant and fun city.
Known for its nightlife, the famous Dōtonbori district, Osaka Castle, and its incredible food scene. This lively destination is perfect for exploring busy markets, historic landmarks, and nearby temples.
