Want to Travel More In 2025? We think you should, as there is no better time to start than now.
If you have no idea where to begin, don’t worry — we’ve got you covered. Below we are sharing FIVE ways in which you can travel more in 2025. These practical tips helped us along our full-time travel journey for over two years. These are also things we observed many travelers incorporate in order to make their travels a possibility.
Here Are Five Ways to Travel More in 2025:
1. Work on your Mindset
2. Build your Travel Fund
3. Learn How to Travel on a Budget
4. Start Small
5. Ask for Help
1. Work on Your Mindset
Rhine Falls, Switzerland.
Mindset can be the determining factor on whether or not you go out and explore the world, or stay home and wish you did.
We believe that shifting and expanding your mindset opens up the possibility for you to make things you thought were impossible, possible. It plays a huge role in our day-to-day life and was significant during our full-time travel journey.
Simple Ways to Strengthen Your Travel Mindset:
- Look for all the ways in which you CAN instead of CAN’T travel.
- Follow people on social media who are doing exactly what you want to do.
- Share your ideas only with people who will support and challenge them, instead of shutting them down.
- Listen to podcasts, read books, and attend workshops that will support your travel goals.
- Hire a coach or a mentor to help you work on your limiting beliefs, goals, and to create a structured plan to get you started.
Be mindful that most people don’t know what they don’t know. Meaning it is your job to not let someone who has never done what you want to do or in this case, traveled like you want to travel to discourage you from doing so.

2. Build your Travel Fund
Create a savings plan or an account designated for travel only.
Make it a goal to deposit a percentage of your earnings into that account and set a date in which you can start using it. Determine what you will consider travel-related expenses and only use the savings for that. While you are at it, cut out any unnecessary expenses and put the money you would have used, into your travel savings instead.
Example: If you normally buy a cup of coffee every day but instead decide to make it at home twice a week, you can put that cash in your travel savings and use it for coffee when you are on vacation.

3. Learn How to Travel on a Budget
Milos, Greece.
Most people believe they don’t have enough money to travel.
Though traveling is something that requires money, it does not have to be expensive. We have traveled the world full-time for over two years and not only learned from our personal experience, but also from those of others, that traveling can be affordable, you just have to learn how.
Some Ideas for Traveling on a Budget:
- Travel to places during their shoulder/off seasons.
- Look for travel deals and special packages.
- Stay in low-to-mid budget hotels, Airbnbs, and hostels.
- Eat local food and limit fine dining experiences.
- Travel with a buddy to split costs.
TIP: Be adventurous. Stay at a hostel, volunteer, or house/pet sit during your trip to save money and expose yourself to new experiences.

4. Start Small
Cruise to the Caribbean – Turks and Caicos.
If you are starting out, don’t overcomplicated things for yourself.
Start by researching/planning a trip somewhere close to where you live or where it is the easiest to get to. A weekend getaway is a great way to ease into a traveling lifestyle. It is also ideal for helping you determine what kind of activities you do and don’t enjoy, before booking an expensive trip far away.
If planning is the issue, start by booking vacations on platforms that have an itinerary done for you, attending retreats, booking group trips, or going on a cruise.
If you are on a budget, start with somewhere that is the cheapest to fly into and where the accommodation and lifestyle is affordable.
TIP: If you are flexible, visit the Google flights page and click on the explore destinations button on the map to see what the cheapest flights are from your current location.
5. Ask for Help
Most travelers are willing to give you advice on how to begin.
If you have a question oftentimes someone who has traveled will know the answer. Don’t be afraid to ask, we do it ALL THE TIME. Whether they are a friend or a “travel influencer”, chances are they will know something you don’t know. Asking others has saved us so much time and headache when we were uncertain about a place, activity, or even the possibility of traveling full-time, period.
*Note: If for some reason you don’t get a response, don’t feel discouraged. Use that same energy to search or ask elsewhere – the answer doesn’t need to come from only one source.
